(BIPH), reaffirmed its commitment to cancer awareness and advocacy through its participation in the 2024 Relay for Life held on November 29, 2024 at the Quezon City Memorial Circle. Themed “Every Step Brings Hope,” the event brought together communities, organizations, and individuals in a collective effort to honor cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost to the disease, and support ongoing cancer initiatives.
In its 13th year of supporting the Philippine Cancer Society (PCS), Brother Philippines continues to advocate for collective action in the fight against cancer. The 2024 Relay for Life was particularly meaningful as it highlighted the global solidarity of the Brother Group through the Golden Ring Project, an initiative that encourages Brother offices worldwide to participate in cancer charity efforts.

A collective step toward hope
The 2024 Relay for Life drew 224 participants from Brother Philippines — including associates, family members, promodisers, and business partners — who took part in various activities aimed at fostering education, solidarity, and support. Participants engaged in educational talks, inspiring testimonies from cancer survivors, and performances from local talents.
The highlight of the evening was the Relay itself, where representatives from Brother Philippines and BIPH joined others in walking around the oval track.

The evening also included a solemn vigil where candles were lit to honor those who have lost their lives to cancer. This moment provided a poignant reminder of the strength and resilience of cancer warriors and their families.
“We encourage everyone to take part in the fight against cancer,” added Hocson. “By raising awareness, providing support, and contributing to research, we can make a significant difference in the lives of those battling this disease.”
Brother Philippines’ participation in the 2024 Relay for Life reaffirmed its alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
It also highlights the company’s commitment to cancer awareness and a healthier future. This is part of a series of corporate social responsibility initiatives undertaken in 2024, demonstrating their continuous efforts to support advocacies and uplift communities.
Among its other notable CSR efforts was Brother Philippines’ annual Coastal Cleanup, where 178 volunteers collected 120 sacks of plastic waste from the Pawikan Sanctuary in San Juan, Batangas. This demonstrated the company’s broader commitment to sustainability and community engagement.
