Brother International Philippines Corporation (referred as “we” or “us” in this Privacy Policy) is committed to protecting your privacy in respect of Personal Data that you share with us.

We take our responsibilities under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (the “Act”) seriously. We also recognize the importance of the Personal Data you have entrusted to us and believe that it is our responsibility to properly manage, protect and process your Personal Data.
This Privacy Policy will apply to all Personal Data that is collected, used, disclosed, processed, and retained by us or on our behalf by a third party data processor, including Personal Data that we collect online through or in connection with this website [www.brother.com.ph] (this “Website”) and data we collect offline such as through customer service call centers, at in-person events and through postal mail.  
In this policy, “Personal Data” means any data about an individual who can be identified from that data, or from that data in combination with other information to which the organization may have access and includes the meaning otherwise as defined in the Act as amended from time to time.

Where you use a particular Brother software or service, there may be additional terms and conditions which apply to the processing of your Personal Data, so it is important that you read the applicable terms and conditions for each service that you use. In the event and to the extent only of any conflict or inconsistency between such additional terms and conditions and this Privacy Policy, the terms and conditions for a particular service will prevail over this Privacy Policy.

Information we collect
We may collect and process Personal Data about you such as:

  • Personal contact information, such as name, mailing address, phone number, and e-mail address that you provide by filling out product registration forms or customer surveys on this Website or through e-mail, fax, postal mail or that we collect through our promotions or service centers
  • Unique information such as user IDs and passwords
  • Any valid government-issued ID number
  • Internet Protocol address of the computer you are using
  • Details of products and services which you purchase from us or which you have inquired about, such as model, serial number, and dealer name
  • Details of your visits to our Website, the activities you engage in when using the services made available via the Website and the resources that you access on or via the Website.

Your Personal Data we collect will be retained only until the purpose(s) for which it was collected have been achieved, whereupon such data will be deleted and destroyed in a confidential manner.

How we use your information

  • To communicate with you about Brother products, services, and promotional offers that may be of interest to you, upon your consent;

  • To conduct research, analysis and development activities (including, but not limited to data analytics, surveys and/or profiling) to improve our Website and services;

Disclosure of your Personal Data
You acknowledge and consent that your Personal Data may be used, disclosed, maintained, accessed, processed and/or transferred to the following third parties, whether sited in or outside of the Philippines, for the purposes set out above:

  • Brother group companies.
  • Third party service providers which have been engaged by us: (i) to provide and maintain any IT equipment which is used to process or store your Personal Data; (ii) to provide us with IT related services; (iii) to perform contractual obligation owed to you or our legal obligation, or (iv) otherwise in connection with the provision of certain services provided to you.
  • Our authorized distributors, dealers, resellers and/or service centers.  
  • Our auditors and legal advisors.
  • Public and governmental / regulatory authorities, courts / other alternative dispute forums   statutory boards or industry associations that we are required by applicable law to disclose to.

Any third party in connection with (i) the sale of any of our business or assets, in which case we may disclose your Personal Data to the prospective buyer of such business or assets; or (ii) the acquisition of us or substantially all of our assets by a third party, in which case Personal Data held by us about you and our other customers will be one of the transferred assets.
When it is necessary, we will enter or enter into contractual undertakings to ensure that the Personal Data which we collect from you and transfer to third parties (whether or not located in the Philippines) is adequately protected to a standard comparable to the protection under the Act.
We will take reasonable steps to ensure that the third parties maintain appropriate organizational, physical and technical security measures to help prevent loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure or modification of your Personal Data.
In certain circumstances we may provide third parties (whether or not located in the Philippines) with aggregate information about this Website's users. This may include information about your computer, including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and to report aggregate information to our advertisers. This is anonymized statistical data about our users' browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual.
We will not use or disclose your information for any other purposes without your consent, unless we are under a duty to disclose or share your Personal Data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of any person (including for example for the purposes of fraud detection and prevention).

Important: Please note that it is required to bring the machine, consumable/tape and proof of purchase to our Service Centre for detailed diagnosis.

Brother also warrants that the Product repaired under this warranty will be free from Manufacturer’s defect in materials or workmanship for the remaining period of the warranty period.

Warranty Claim and Procedures

Brother is offering a Standard Warranty for its Products. When making a claim under this warranty, please bring in your Product to any Brother Service Center or Brother Authorized Service Centers nationwide, and present this WARRANTY CARD (Customer’s Copy) and a copy of your PROOF OF PURCHASE together with the faulty Product.

During the applicable warranty period and subject to the terms and conditions of this warranty, Brother, at its option, will repair or replace such Product at no charge.

Defective Products, accessories and spare parts shall become Brother’s property.

Warranty Terms And Conditions

You shall be deemed to have understood, accepted, and agreed to the following terms and conditions for the warranty of your purchased Product.

1. This warranty shall be applicable and valid for the Product purchased through any Brother’s Authorized Distributor, Dealer, or Reseller in the Philippines
2. This warranty shall NOT be transferred, negotiated, nor assigned to ANY third party.
3. This warranty card must, at all times, be presented along with a proof of purchase to any Brother Service Center or Brother Authorized Service Center to be able to avail any warranty service.

4. This warranty does not cover the following:
-Parts (i.e. toner, drum, fuser, daisy wheel, ribbon, correction tape etc.) that are subjected to wear and tear, rust, stains, corrosion, and software related problem;

-Consumables such as toner cartridges, ink cartridges, tape cartridges, and other consumables;
-Malfunction or damage resulting from any acts of nature (including but not limited to lightning, flood, earthquake, or fire) or force majeure;
-Entry of foreign matter to the product or exposure of the product to any foreign matter such as, but not limited to spillage of food or liquid hazard, moisture, insect infestation, dirt, corrosion, rust, and stain;
-Damage and defect resulting from the use of the Product other than its normal and customary use, (e.g. use of Product in excess of the monthly duty cycle), accident and/or misuse;
-Use of improper or incorrect electrical or voltage supply;
-Consequential damage due to negligence, abuse and improper testing, installation, alteration or modification of any kind made to the product;

-Periodic maintenance kits and parts (e.g. scanner hinges, ink absorber box, flushing box, felts, fuser assembly, laser unit, paper feeding kit) requiring replacement due to normal wear and tear and/or end of life.

-Transportation, handling, or delivery charges incurred in the delivery of the product to and from the Service Centers or customer’s premises;
-General maintenance, routine servicing and onsite service.

5. This warranty becomes void when:
- The equipment's serial number is removed, defaced and/or altered;
- The equipment's warranty card is altered and/or modified;
- The equipment is damaged from any natural disaster or any acts of God, and mishandling by the purchaser after the purchase of the product;
- The equipment has been tampered with and/or repaired by any person NOT authorized by Brother International Philippines to provide service and/or repair;

6. This warranty may become void when:
- Damage is caused by the use of non-genuine consumable products such as but not limited to ink, toner and refill kits and continuous system; and
- Usage on the product of any of non-genuine Brother consumable products such as but not limited to ink, toner, refill kits, and continuous ink systems; and…
- The equipment is loaned, transferred and/or assigned to other users.


You may equip your Brother Product with an additional warranty period at no extra cost by simply filling out this form COMPLETELY. You may send this form to Brother by mail, fax or email, together with the proof of purchase within fifteen (15) days from the date of purchase.

Upon receipt of the completely filled-put application form, Brother will officially register your roduct under the Extended Warranty Program. We will send you the machine’s Extended Warranty Sticker within thirty (30) days from the date of purchase.


You shall be deemed to have agreed and accepted the following terms and conditions for the Extended Warranty of your purchased Product.

Brother Authorized Service Center may provide service to your Brother Product covered by the Extended Warranty application on behalf of Brother.
In case you do not receive the Extended Warranty sticker a month after mailing/faxing your application, you may contact Brother at (02) 581-9898 or toll free line at 1-800-10-BROTHER, or email, at helpdesk@brother.com.ph.
Extended Warranty application forms received fifteen (15) days after the date of purchase will NOT be included in the Extended Warranty Program.
Extended Warranty shall also be subject to the terms and conditions of Standard Warranty stated in “WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS” above.
